Camp Wise has taken several measures to increase security for all campers over the past few years. To support this for Summer 2025, there will be a security fee of $180 added to each camper’s tuition. This is in addition to the above fees.

Making Camp Affordable
DISCOUNTS
Member Rates
To be eligible for member rates, you must have a Mandel JCC Frequent Family membership for a period of one year. It must be valid at the time of registration and extend through the camper’s last 2025 camp day. JCC memberships at out-of-town JCCs will be honored. Families may also qualify for the member rate if they live more than 30 miles from a Jewish Community Center.
Sibling Discount
Families registering more than one child receive a Sibling Discount of 5% for each younger child after the oldest. Discounts cannot be combined. For families with multiple children, only the first child is eligible for the Early Bird Discount, while siblings are eligible for the Sibling Discount only.
Referral Bonus
Bring a friend to the Home of Happiness! When you refer a new camper to Camp Wise, we’ll
give you credit towards your camp tuition for this summer and a special gift that your family
can use to bring some Camp Wise ruach (spirit) into your home!
- 1 st referral: $200 off camp tuition
- 2 nd referral: Additional $300 off camp tuition (total of $500 off)
- 3 rd referral: Additional $400 off camp tuition (total of $900 off)
- 4 th -8 th referrals: Additional $400 each off camp tuition (maximum of $2,900 off)
To qualify, the referring family must be named by the applying family at the time of their application. To
be eligible, the applying camper must be a new (first-time) Camp Wise camper, and must be a non-
sibling living in a different household from the referring family. The maximum total referral bonus is
$2,900. The referral bonus is valid for the duration of enrollment.
SCHOLARSHIPS
The Mandel JCC of Cleveland
The Mandel Jewish Community Center offers need-based scholarships to its members. Register for camp and indicate that you wish to be considered for a reduced fee. You will be emailed the necessary application forms, which must be returned within two weeks.
Synagogues
Many synagogues offer scholarships to their congregants for Jewish overnight camp. Please contact your synagogue to inquire about the application process. These financial scholarships can often be combined with other grants.
JFSA Campership Program
Cleveland children ages 10-15, who do not attend Jewish Day School and are not members of a temple or synagogue may qualify for a FREE session of camp through the Jewish Family Services Association of Cleveland’s Campership program. This is a program for those whose household income is low in comparison to family size. Multiple siblings may be eligible. GRANTS
The One Happy Camper Grant
One Happy Camper was created to help ensure that Jewish children have an opportunity to experience the magic of overnight camping. This grant offers need-blind incentive grants of up to $1,000 to first-time campers who are entering 2nd grade or higher and are enrolled in a full session program. If you are registered for Rishon (mini session), the grant will give you up to $700. Grant amounts may vary depending on your location. These grants are available in many cities. PJ Goes to Camp
PJ Goes to Camp, a program of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation, provides camper incentive grants of $1,000 to alumni and siblings of alumni of the PJ Library program who may not be eligible for the One Happy Camper grant. To learn more visit www.pjlibrary.org.
GIFT OF ISRAEL
Gift of Israel is a program for Cleveland teens who want to go on an Israel education experience including our Camp Wise Teen Israel program. The Jewish Education Center of Cleveland administers this program which is a partnership between parents, congregations (if applicable) and the Jewish Federation of Cleveland. The program offers a savings incentive plan to help Jewish families save for an Israel learning experience. Get started early! Contact your religious school office or Helen Wolf at hwolf@jecc.org.
